A Shared Society Dream
Located on the coast of Haifa Bay and the Mediterranean’s Levantine Sea, the port city of Akko is one of Israel’s most ethnically diverse cities. Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, and Baháʼís call Akko home. With so many seemingly contrasting elements - Arabs and Jews and religious and secular forces - beauty and tension live side-by-side in this mixed city. Haifa
The First Dror Israel Urban Kibbutz
Built on the hills of Mount Carmel, Haifa is one of the most beautiful cities in Israel, with a rich history spanning thousands of years. Home to both the Technion University and the University of Haifa, Haifa is known as a city of innovation with cutting-edge social projects. The city is heterogeneous - 25% of the population immigrated from the Soviet Union – and strives to be a model of co-existence. The Cooperative Desert City
On the edge of the Ramon Crater in the Negev, Mitzpe Ramon has grown from a small desert outpost to one of Israel’s centers for community innovation. Here at Dror Israel Mitzpe Ramon Kibbutz you will find young activists, artists, and community leaders who have built a vibrant society that addresses complex issues though creative and practical solutions. Tour a cooperative supermarket that sells products at reduced prices, a boarding school for youth-at-risk, and projects created with the local Bedouin tribe. Meet local leaders focused on the environment, sustainability, and community relationships. Tour the Makhtesh Ramon, a unique erosion crater at the peak of Mt. Negev, 40 km long and 2-10 km wide, shaped like a heart, and home to some of Israel’s most interesting geology, plants and wildlife.

Learn about modern day Tiberias as a cauldron of identities, the tension between Israel’s periphery and center, and relations between religious and secular Jews, Mizrachi and Ashkenazi. Building Bridges (in person only)
Teens and young adults from around the world meet with Israeli peers for honest and respectful conversations, informal hands-on exercises, and community service projects. Shared experiences and authentic interactions allow participants to learn from one another, building bridges that last far beyond the meetings.
Ulpan Dror
Intensive Spoken Hebrew (in person and online)
Our conversational Hebrew language program focuses on developing confidence and building verbal language skills. Participants practice speaking Hebrew in a friendly environment. Conversations about current issues and dilemmas in Israeli society and the lives of the participants enrich the learning. A basic grasp of Hebrew is helpful but not a prerequisite; all levels are welcome.

Deep Dive Shabbaton

Participants come together in communal living settings to experience a Shabbat weekend. From Thursday to Saturday (Friday-Saturday available as well), participants delve deeply into topics such as Social Justice as a Way of Life, Experiential Hebrew, and Sustainable Farming through guided conversations and informal educational experiences. Themes may be customized.
LGBTQ + Israel

Israel is the only country in the Middle East to respect and protect LGBTQ+ rights. Through the eyes of one of Israel’s leading LGBTQ+ activists/drag queens, participants learn what it’s like to be LGBTQ+ in Israel. Conversations explore the history of the LGBTQ+ movement and how education and activism can change society.
